Man trying to smuggle illegal drone into India caught near Bangladesh border

Border Security Force (BSF) troops from the 145 Battalion at the Integrated Check Post (ICP) in Petrapole, near the India-Bangladesh border, intercepted a Bangladeshi passenger attempting to smuggle an illegal drone into India.
The drone was discovered by BSF personnel during a manual baggage scan at the passenger terminal on Saturday.
The passenger, carrying a Bangladeshi passport, was found with a DJI RC2 Mini 4 Pro drone and accessories hidden in his luggage.
He claimed the drone was for personal use but failed to provide essential documentation, including purchase receipts, registration, or travel declarations, as required by Indian Customs regulations and DGCA guidelines for drone transport.
Following protocol, the passenger, along with the drone and accessories worth Rs 90,000, was handed over to the Customs aauthority for further investigation.
